All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

 

I have missed being able to offer you the training that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

 

My priority is to keep you and myself as safe as possible. Prior to re-opening the training academy, I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the training academy has been closed, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

 

I continue to deliver training at the highest possible standards, safety is our top priority and always has been, however, I have now introduced additional measures during COVID-19.

Booked Training:

​

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not come into the training academy. This may mean that I have to cancel your training at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your training is cancelled, you will be rescheduled as quickly as possible.

 

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE TRAINING ACADEMY FOR YOUR TRAINING.

Visiting the Training Academy:

​

​

• Prior to your confirmed training practical date, you will be sent a COVID-19 form to complete. Please complete this as quickly as possible to avoid your training, from being cancelled.

​​

• I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the training academy including making sure that common surfaces, door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each training session and throughout the day. All tools and equipment will be disinfected, sterilised or disposed of in line with our current protocols. Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single-use items during training that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross-infection.

 

• ​You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter the training academy and we will also have a hand sanitiser available for you to use when you come into the academy.

 

• I will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves when you visit the training academy and during your training if this is appropriate.

 

• Please arrive with a face mask ensuring it fully covers your nose and mouth, due to shortages we only have enough for staff.

Our Training:

 

We have carried out a full risk assessment on all training and I am confident that I can continue to provide these safely. However, you may notice a delay in some training returning until we are confident in the risks remain minimal.

During Your Training:

 

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment, as will we all.

 

I will try to make your training as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your training, please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.

 

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practices and will amend them as necessary.
